Round 1 of AVP in Rivverside

It was great to see professional beach volleyball players battling it out in Downtown Riverside. What a treat for all of our youth that play. Just to see and experience the different levels of talent. Hope to see you all out there. Let me know if you need tickets.

Spring Break

During spring break there will be no practice. Have a great week off from school and volleyball. Starting the week we get back we will begin to look at what it is that we can do to raise money for next year. So if you would like to start early, brainstorm fund raising possibilities that you would like to do.
Have a great week.

Practice Scrimmage

Today towards the end of practice I put the girls into two teams and we played a couple of points to see where we are at in our abilities to play as a team. With the exception to having girls in new positions I feel that they did a great job. We are still in the developing process so I am very excited to see where we will be in the next couple of weeks.
Keep up the great work lady's!

Update

To start off practice we played Simon Says and the winner was . You all did a great job except for those of you that got out on the first command.
Yesterday the newbies worked on passing and then they were taught how to serve. Some of their serves were decent from the beginning and some of them need to work on it a bit more. Attitudes were great and they all seemed to work hard.
As for the returners we worked on passing and hitting as well while the setters began their new routine of drills. The passing was a bit lack luster but everyone stepped it up when I said we were going to hit.
Time past quickly as the girls were engaged in their drills. Then we played a passing game.
Keep up the hard work and great attitudes girls.
You are all doing a great job.

Passing

Today the rookies worked mostly on passing. They developed a good base of skills today. I am excited to see where this is going to take them.
This is going to be a great spring season. The hard part will be when it comes time to make cuts. So girls keep up the good work and remember to never give up.
Get some rest and we will see you on Thursday.
